By design the Helmet Brim is fire retardant. However, it is not designed with the layers of insulation found in firefighting or metalworking apparel.

The materials in the Helmet Brim are meant to mitigate flash burns, and other injuries caused by brief exposure to heat and fire.
Exercise caution and avoid prolonged contact with dangerously hot surfaces and flames. Given time, any sufficiently dangerous heat source will transfer through the FR Helmet Brim to your skin.

The FR Helmet Brim is low-profile cap designed for use with ballistic helmets, bump helmets, and communication headsets.

A 3/4" length bill shades the face and eyes without interfering with slings or weapon optics. Tencate fire retardant mesh creates a breathable layer between the scalp and helmet padding — reducing skin irritation caused by occlusion, pressure, and bacteria.

The Helmet Brim features internal routing and storage for electronic earplugs and comfortable stretch-fit sizing. When not in use, it packs neatly into a small admin pocket or pouch.

CARE //

Hand wash the Helmet Brim in warm water and line dry in shade. Do not bleach, or use fabric softeners. To preserve near-infrared compliance, do not use detergents with optical brighteners.

Always check for retained electronic hearing protection before washing.

WARRANTY //

The Helmet Brim carries a 6 month limited warranty
If you believe your cap has a defect in material or workmanship, contact help@eccgear.com within 180 days of delivery. Warranty claims will be evaluated individually by ECC.

Clothing is a consumable item. As such normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty by ECC.
